Anne Allen - Flautist

Join us for a 3 course dinner as we introduce Anne Allen, Flautist.

Anne Allen quickly became recognised as an exciting young flautist, graduating from Cambridge University and the Royal Northern College of Music with Distinction. She has performed solo concerti with orchestras including the BBC Concert Orchestra and in venues as prestigious as The Royal Albert Hall, the Queen Elizabeth Hall, St Martin in the Fields and the Cadogan Hall in London. Internationally she has played in Europe, the Far East, Africa, Russia, South America and Australia.

Anne has won many prizes; she was chosen as an ‘outstanding’ winner of the Computers in Personnel International Concerto Competition and won Norfolk Young Musician of the Year and was a finalist in the BBC Radio 2 Young Musician of the Year.

Anne was chosen as one of six musicians to be part of Blackheath Concert Halls Young Artists’ Platform. Anne has performed on Radio 2, Radio 3, Classic FM, BBC TV, ITV and Sky TV. Anne was recently seen playing in an episode of Midsummer Murders and on Britain’s Got Talent!

Anne plays as a soloist on cruise ships, her first journey being on the QEII! She also plays for a variety of occasions from parties and weddings to corporate events. Clients range from members of the Royal Family to large multi-national companies. Highlights in this side of her career have been performing for the President Reagan Trust Dinner, the Queen, Sting and the Beckhams!
